The All-New Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is Almost Here

It seems like we’ve been waiting, waiting, waiting. However, after bypassing the Los Angeles Auto Show, Ford model fans are in luck: the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is finally ready for its grand debut. And, the wait is finally over. We'll get to see the beauty at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this month.

With the first redesign since 2014, the vehicle is prepped ready to compete in the performance category. It is expected to come with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine generating at least 700 horsepower and an estimated 650 lb-ft of torque. And, the Ford team boasts, “It’s not 701 or 702; it’s plus and a bit more.” The new Ford model will also feature a redefined style and 20-inch wheels.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a few notable differences from the GT350 version. The new model will have a large wing to distinguish it from the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. It’s expected to be track capable but will be more straight-lined in terms of performance.
