The Ford Ranger is Back and Better than Ever

With an endless line of requests for midsize pickup trucks, fans everywhere have to be excited about the news. After discontinuing the model in 2011, there was a big reveal at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit that we know we’re especially excited about: the all-new Ford Ranger is back.

Let’s start with the details. Just like all of our Ford trucks, the all-new Ford Ranger is Built Ford Tough®. It has three trim levels including the XL, XLT, and Lariat. It operates with a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission with a manual mode. It generates a 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The towing capacity is 7,500 pounds so you can still tow plenty and load up with a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,860 pounds.

All that rugged power doesn’t come at a cost either. It’s still the most fuel-efficient gas-powered midsize pickup in America. It also has an option for an Off-Road Package to make sure your traction is ready for any terrain.

The all-new Ford Ranger is also the first to introduce Ford Co-Pilot 360. The driver-assist technologies include Lane-Keeping System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist, Rear View Camera, and more. You aren’t going into any adventure without a little extra peace of mind. That peace of mind also includes added connectivity including Sync3® technology, FordPass Connect, and Ford + Alexa to keep you constantly in touch.

The all-new Ford Ranger is expected to be arriving at dealerships in early 2019. Visit our Omaha-area Ford dealership or give our sales team a call at 888-448-2239 for more information. We’ll be sure to let you know how you can call the Ford Ranger yours.
